Admission to North Texas home swimming and diving meets is free and open to the public.
The home of the Mean Green swimming and diving team is located north of the Super Pit on Chestnut Street, spanning the block from North Texas Boulevard to Avenue D, and its distinctive design has been the subject of articles in Texas Architect and Mondo Track & Field.
The massive 138,000-square-foot, two-story building has an eight-lane pool with bleachers for fans and an electronic scoreboard. The facility is also equipped with a six-lane 25-meter pool for training and warm-ups.
Adjadent to the Recreation Center is the Physical Education Building Natatorium, which houses the diving facilities: two one-meter springboards and a three-meter springboard. From May to October, North Texas also uses the outdoor long-course pool at TWU, three miles from campus. Click here for more information on the Pohl Recreation Center and PEB Natatorium.
