Free Admission To Home Matches

All North Texas dual matches are open to the public and admission is free. There is ample seating throughtout the Waranch Tennis Complex, and much of the seating is covered.

Dual-Match Scoring

If you've never attended a dual match, scoring is slightly different from a traditional tennis tournament.

Each dual match begins with three doubles matches, playing one set to eight games (as opposed to the traditional set to six games). Taking two of the three doubles matches earns that school one point in the dual match.

Doubles is followed by six singles matches, each a best-of-three sets. Each singles match is worth one point, making a total of seven points available in the dual. The first school to four points wins the dual match.

Mean Green Sports Pass

Without a doubt, the best value for North Texas sports fans is the Mean Green Sports Pass. The Pass allows you to attend all of this season's North Texas regular-season home soccer, volleyball, and softball games. The cost is about a dollar per game for adults and just 60 cents a game for kids 17 and under.

For that price, you get nine games featuring the defending Sun Belt Conference champion North Texas soccer team and 18 games of the Mean Green volleyball squad, which is expected to make a run at the NCAA Tournament this year. In the spring, you also get the Mean Green softball team, which plays at one of the top softball-only facilities in the region, Lovelace Stadium. This season's softball schedule is still being assembled, but last year's featured 24 home games. That's approximately 50 games this season, all available with the Mean Green Sports Pass.

The 2012 Mean Green Sports Pass is now on sale through the ticket office. The cost is just $50 for adults and $30 for youths 17 and under. The Mean Green Sports Pass can be purchased online, at the North Texas Athletic Ticket Office on the west side of Apogee Stadium, or by phone at 1-800-UNT-2366.
